Before we begin, note that the Zeta Mastery Pack is not currently in the game and has been datamined to be released tomorrow on 6/6/2025. This is a new take on the several Zeta forward packs we’ve seen in the past, notable this time for the crystal in cost, instead of a monetary value.
That is to say that there are few things guaranteed in this world, death, taxes, and the ability for CG to throw one of the biggest game bottlenecks in your face and hope you’ll bite.
Admittedly, I don’t normally delve into the datamines to figure out pack probabilities in advance, something I should consider doing going forward, and that it was a slew of comments from my ex-lover [Reddit] that made me aware of something worth looking at coming in the near future. . .
So here’s a very pretty breakdown of the pack itself. . .
Notes:
Typically with gamble packs each “card” is rolled independently, meaning that if you roll a 1% chance on zetas you’re not guaranteed to roll that same card for Omegas.
Expected Value, for the uninitiated, can best be explained as “if you were to purchase this pack an infinite number of times, this is the raw crystal value you can expect to receive from an averaging of the packs.
Analysis
The EV on zetas being 22.6 with a swing between 20-100 shows us just how bad the odds are to hit big, though when you hit big. . That dopamine hit is going to hit really fucking hard.
The best daily deal we can find in the game values zetas at 228c/zeta and is largely seen as a buy by most player’s standards - This pack will give you [at worst] a value of 249c/zeta, assuming you have no need for the omegas, and a value of 221c/zeta when valued at the EV; essentially making this pack nowhere near as bad as some players are currently projecting on Reddit.
I think there are people in two camps when it comes to needing zetas and each are going to value this pack differently.
Endgame veteran players who have way too many omegas and literally only care about the values of the zetas: You’re probably going to pass on this pack unless you are running really tight on zetas and have an abundance of crystals sitting around. While you’ll always receive a value very close to the top value we’ve seen [off by roughly 20%], there are bigger fish for you to fry.
Heavy lightspeed bundle addicts who have much shorter account longevity and who are hurting for both zetas and omegas: This pack is certainly a pretty decent buy for players dealing with both a zeta and an omega crunch. While normally the 1,600c for 7 zeta deal comes with a very small smattering of materials you barely care about, this pack sees you getting at least 30 omega mats, and valuing your purchase at 51% higher than normal.
Generally I don't waste resources on any packs outside of Marquee. And then it is only hoarded crystals. Never cash converted.
Not sure if I commented correctly, the interface keeps jumping around
But whats SV, QT, CV?
